Sport Integrity

Integrity in sports ensures that athletes, officials, volunteers, supporters and fans can participate in and celebrate sports, confident in the knowledge that they are part of a safe, fair and inclusive environment.

Handball Queensland adopts the Sport Integrity Policies of Handball Australia developed in collaboration with Sport Integrity Australia, the national agency established to protect sport against threats.

In Queensland, the broader system for promoting a child-safe sporting environment is the Child Safe Organisations framework. All employees and volunteers of Handball Queensland require a Queensland’s Working With Children Check (Blue Card) in the delivery of the sporting programs and provision of services to underage children. To apply for a Blue Card, visit Blue Card Services.

All relevant persons including volunteers with HQ must complete the Child safeguarding in sport induction.
